Kern Riverboarding Meetup 2013

From Kern Riverboards:

“The annual Meet up with fellow riverboarders at Riverside Park, Kernville. Riverboarders of similar ability level can decide which runs they would like to riverboard.

The Upper Kern River has over 20 miles of roadside accessible whitewater ranging from class II to V.

Brush Creek is one of the most forgiving steep creeks that is runnable on a riverboard.

How to get there? Bakersfield, California is the closest major city. If you are flying in, LAX (Los Angeles) is the closest major airport and you will need to rent a car and drive 3 hours North to Kernville.

Accommodations? Plenty of cheap USFS camping near Lake Isabella and on the Upper Kern River. There are also many hotels/B&B in the town of Kernville.

This is a free, unofficial, informal event. You are responsible for your own safety.”
