Riverboarding races and freestyle competitions

The Face Level Riverboarding Championships are all about the sport of whitewater riverboarding, headfirst & horizontal in the rapids, racing head to head, throwing downriver tricks, and surfing on river waves.

Riverboarding / Hydrospeed is a “face level” sport where the athlete navigates whitewater rapids using a specialized watercraft (either a boogie board, riverboard, or hydrospeed) and swim fins for propulsion.

The sport is very popular as a tourist activity in many countries, notably New Zealand, Chile, and France along with the Zambezi river in Africa, and also as an extreme sport, with riverboarders and hydrospeeders taking on challenging class 4 and class 5 whitewater around the world.
